I am getting Active X Error in Trial Version
Hi,
I downloaded the trial before I buy it. But everything works except the COM for VB/ASP. So basically the tool works but the integration with my application fails.
I am using Win XP Pro/ Latest MDAC/ Latest Java Runtimes
I registered the DLL but I still get the message "error creating active x object" Error 429.
Don't know what is wrong. Any help is appreciated.

Many thanks for pointing this out to us. This turned out to be an error in our packaging system, which we have corrected. In order to get the updated files you have a couple of options
- Download and install version 1.5 of screen-scraper, once again. It contains the new files.
- Trick your screen-scraper instance into upgrading. To do this, follow these steps
1. Open the "screen-scraper.properties" file found in the "resource\conf" directory of your screen-scraper install folder in a text editor.
2. Modify the "Version" property, giving it the value 1.2.
3. Launch screen-scraper.
4. Select "Check For Updates" from the "Options" menu.
5. Allow the update to occur. Once it does your
"misc\COM\Screenscraper" directory will contain the correct files.
