just wondered if there is a minimum spec for SS anywhere in writing ? I have seen the "requirements" section in the documentation, but was looking for something to give to our IT manager to keep him happy.

yup, that should do it. Our use of screenscraper will be small-scale, so it looks like we can manage with what we have.
