SS through privoxy-tor
Hi,
Back again with a problem. I can't seem to get SS working through proxy. I edited the screen-scraper properties config to use privoxy (which uses port 8118) running on same host. Screen-scraper runs fine but no data is scraped. I am able to access the web through the proxy + tor setup using a browser.

It worked. Initially it worked only for individual sessions. After some tweaking, it worked for server mode. Thanx. :)

Hi Arun,
We've used screen-scraper with Tor/Privoxy quite a bit, so I'm pretty confident we can help you get it working. If this is for a scraping session, you'll want to set the proxy settings under the "Advanced" tab for the scraping session. If you only do it in the screen-scraper.properties file, that will only affect the proxy screen-scraper's proxy uses, and will also be the default proxy for *new* scraping sessions.
