Scraper not working as expected
Hi,
I tried using the professional edition of the Screen-Scraper to configure firefox to work with it, the browser throws the following error when trying to access any website as I try using it as a proxy server:
Access is denied for host: 0:0:0:0:0:0:0:1%0
Alter your web browser settings so that you're no longer using
screen-scraper as a proxy, then click here for help on this error.
I have tried other suggestions in the forum to no avail. I need to know what I'm missing out.
Thanks,
Dapo Lawore
Are you using version
Are you using version 4.5?
What is your OS?
Does this happen on all sites that you try to proxy, or just a specific site?
Yes I use version 4.5 and it
Yes I use version 4.5 and it is used to work until recently when I started using it again after a while of not using it. I need to use it as a proxy server because the website I used it for then has changed its links.
It does not work for any site at all.
I use a Mac OS.
Hi, I'm a Mac user as well.
Hi,
I'm a Mac user as well. The quickest and easiest way to deal with this is to simply blank out the "Hosts to allow to connect" text box in the "Settings" dialog box (under the "Servers" section). If security is an issue you can simply include some portion of the IP address in that box (e.g., 0:0:0:0).
Kind regards,
Todd
Redirecting to a logout page!
Hi,
I found an alternative of downloading the trial version so I can connect with the browser but I still have a problem... it redirects to the logout page. I think it is a configuration issue but I haven't a clue yet. any ideas?
Url redirection to the logout page
Hi,
Thanks for your assistance so far. I am still stuck with what I am doing but I found out that the Referer was the problem page that was the cause of the redirect. Their referrers urls of the pages where different but I don't know how to stop that effect. What am I doing wrong?
Wrong referrer: http://www.cscsnigerialtd.com/c/portal/login?p_l_id=10125&redirect=%2Fweb%2Fguest%2Fcertificatedepositlisting
Preferred Requesting URL: http://www.cscsnigerialtd.com/c
The referrer is part of the
The referrer is part of the HTTP request, and very rarely does a site track what referrer is used. In cases where it does, you can use this:
