In screen-scraper we refer to scraping sessions and scripts as objects. When you save within screen-scraper all data is saved to an internal database internal to screen-scraper. You have the option of exporting objects for purposes of backing up or transferring between systems.

Proxy sessions would be considered objects, as well, except that they can not currently be exported (something we're considering implementing).
