Web Interface Run/Running scrape not displayed

Hello,

I am testing out the enterprise edition 4.5. I'm not sure if this is a bug in the web interface or I set up something incorrectly but I'm experiencing the following:

Process -

I set up three scheduled scrapes through the web interface (all the same scrape, different parameters). When I clicked on the scheduled tab they were all there with the correct data.

The scheduled time arrived and I clicked over to the Run/Running tab. Only two of the three scrapes were shown as completed. Checking the log, I realized I'd forgotten to move my jdbc connector over to lib/ext for the enterprise edition so I did that, then I edited the existing scrapes in the Scheduled tab and waited for them to run.

I still didn't see any data in my db so I decided to start from scratch and clicked the 'remove' button in the Scheduled tab on all three scrapes.

After setting everything back up (same scrape and params, 2 instances) I waited for the scheduled time and checked again in the Run/Running tab once it arrived. Again there were no scrapes listed. However this time when I checked my db, the data had been inserted.

I thought I'd try with a restart, so I closed everything out, restarted my machine, set up again with a single scrape with new params. Again it didn't show in run/running when the time arrived. It was inserting to my db. However, after the scrape was done (assumed it was finished as no more records were being inserted in the db), I closed the web page, reopened it and then it listed three completed sessions - the one I'd just done, and the 2 previous.

Is there something I'm missing to be able to show what scrapes are currently running?

Sorry for the verbose detail, just hoping to outline everything in case there was a question.

Also -

1. Is there any way to retain the field data on Scheduled->Edit so if you need to edit one element you don't have to reenter every field again on a scheduled scrape?

Thanks!

Shilea

latest alpha fix

Hi Shilea,

Thanks for you post. We too have noticed the same behavior from screen-scraper's web interface. As of today when I opened my screen-scraper install I was prompted to install the latest alpha release with a fix for this. A co-worker of mine has downloaded the alpha and installed it; his report is that the alpha corrected this problem. I'm anticipating everything is fixed with the web interface as of 4.5.41a.

If you do not currently get the alpha updates, please check the box in your settings to download and apply these updates.

As for a way to retain the data in the Scheduled > Edit pane I also would like to see this as a feature, but I'm not certain if this is being developed.
