a big headache with an easy fix

could the next version PLEASE include an option in the settings panel to turn off HTML tidy by default. I prefer not to use it for most scripts but I can't count the number of time I've got all the extractor patterns written then realised I'd forgotten to turn it off before I started.

You can do that already. You need only edit the screen-scraper.properties, and set "TidyHTML" to false.
